Mor Kiryakus Monastery

Mor Kiryakus Monastery is one of the important Syriac monastic structures at the northernmost edges of the Turabdin cultural region, in the rural area of Beşiri. Its spacious courtyards, numerous rooms and spaces extending underground indicate that the structure served not only for worship but also for education and retreat. Its stone architecture and setting within the rural landscape give the cultural route a distinctive character.
