Zinciriye Madrasa
Zinciriye Madrasa is one of the most impressive structures in Mardin, combining the city’s stone architecture with views over the Mesopotamian Plain from a high terrace. Its courtyard plan, stone ornamentation and monumental entrance façade reflect the architectural character of the Artuqid period. Together with the Old Mardin streets, Ulu Mosque and bazaars, it can be visited on foot and is one of the key stops on the city’s classic historical route.
