Cizre Ulu Camii

Cizre Ulu Camii is one of the city’s most important examples of Islamic architecture, having survived to the present day with repairs and additions from different periods. Known for its historic door leaves and dragon-motif door knockers, the mosque is also valuable from an art-historical perspective for its surviving stone and tile decoration. It can be visited along the same walking route as the Red Madrasa and the Tomb of Prophet Noah.
