Mem u Zin Mausoleum

The Mem u Zin Mausoleum is a visitor site within the Abdaliye Madrasa in Cizre, preserving the cultural memory of Mem û Zîn, one of the region’s most powerful love stories. The mausoleum is part of the same building complex as the historic madrasa cells and the remains of a prayer hall. It holds a special place by bringing literature, folk narrative and Cizre architecture together at a single stop.
