Bazda Caves
Bazda Caves are an impressive system of galleries formed by the large quarries operated for centuries to supply stone for the historic structures in and around Harran. The extraction of stone blocks created tall rock pillars, spacious chambers and tunnel-like passages, transforming the site from a natural cave into a monumental stone space shaped by human hands. It is one of the notable stops along the Harran–Sogmatar route.
