Karahantepe
Karahantepe, located in Şanlıurfa’s Tek Tek Mountains region, is one of the most important centers of the Taş Tepeler research project, known for its monumental structures and T-shaped standing stones dating from the Neolithic period. Structures carved into the bedrock, stone sculptures and ritual areas provide significant archaeological evidence about the early stages of settled life. Considered together with Göbekli Tepe, it offers a much broader perspective on Şanlıurfa’s prehistoric heritage.
