Balıklıgöl
Balıklıgöl is the most important religious and pilgrimage site in Şanlıurfa, centered around the Halil-ur Rahman and Aynzeliha pools in the city’s historic center. Associated with stories of Prophet Abraham, the area forms a rich historic setting together with mosques, caves, courtyards and traditional bazaars. Since the Şanlıurfa Archaeology Museum, Haleplibahçe Mosaic Museum and Kızılkoyun Necropolis are also nearby, it is a natural starting point for exploring the city.
