Harran

With a settlement history spanning thousands of years, a mound, castle and city-wall remains, a historic university tradition, and conical-domed houses, Harran is one of Şanlıurfa’s most distinctive cultural routes. The settlement’s adobe and brick architecture in the middle of the plain reflects a distinctive way of life adapted to the region’s climatic conditions.
