Harran

Harran is one of Şanlıurfa’s most distinctive cultural routes, with thousands of years of settlement history, a tell, castle and city wall remains, a historic university tradition, and conical-domed houses. The settlement’s mudbrick and brick architecture in the middle of the plain reflects a unique way of life adapted to the region’s climatic conditions. Together with the Bazda Caves, Soğmatar and the Tek Tek Mountains route, Harran can be turned into a full-day historical itinerary.
