Kasimiye Madrasa

Kasimiye Madrasa is one of Mardin’s most impressive historic educational buildings, set on the city’s southwestern slopes with a spacious courtyard, finely worked stone and views opening onto the plain. Its arcaded courtyard, classrooms and use of water as part of the architectural composition give the building a calm and balanced character. As it is located separately from the Old Mardin centre, it can be planned together with the Deyrulzafaran Monastery or Dara route.
