Midyat

Midyat is one of Mardin’s strongest historic district routes, known for its mansions built from yellow limestone, courtyard houses, churches, bazaars and filigree tradition. As you walk through the streets of Estel and old Midyat, architectural traces of different faith communities can be seen side by side. The State Guesthouse, traditional houses and silverwork shops make the district a rich destination for both architecture and handicrafts.
