Troy Ancient City

Located near Tevfikiye village, Troy is an archaeological site known worldwide through Homer’s Iliad and encompassing multilayered settlement remains from different periods. Excavations have identified nine main cultural layers; walls, house foundations, a bathhouse, an odeion and other structures reveal the area’s long history of settlement. Troy has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1998.
