Babakale
Babakale is a small coastal settlement around Bababurnu, one of the westernmost points of Anatolia, known for its historic castle, harbor, and traditional knife-making culture. Built in the 18th century during the reign of Sultan Ahmed III, the castle was established to protect the region against pirate attacks. Planned together with the Assos–Gülpınar route, it forms a compelling coastal and historical itinerary.
