Rize Castle
Located on a natural hill southwest of Rize city centre, Rize Castle consists of inner and lower castle sections. The inner castle is thought to have taken shape during the Byzantine period, while the lower castle is believed to have developed in the later Middle Ages; today, it is one of the preferred viewpoints for views of the city and sea.
