Zil Kale
Rising on the western slopes of the Fırtına River, Zil Kale is one of the most distinctive historic structures around Çamlıhemşin, thanks to its position on a steep rock and its commanding view over the valley. The castle consists of outer walls, middle walls and an inner castle. It is known to have played a role in securing the caravan routes that extended from the region towards İspir in the Middle Ages, and it continued to be used during the Ottoman period.
