Zilkale
Rising on the western slopes of the Fırtına River, Zilkale is one of the most distinctive historical structures around Çamlıhemşin, thanks to its position on a steep rock and commanding views over the valley. The castle consists of outer walls, middle walls and an inner fortress. It is known to have played a role in safeguarding the caravan routes extending from the region toward İspir during the Middle Ages and continued to be used during the Ottoman period.
