Oylum Höyük

Oylum Höyük is an important archaeological site in the Kilis Plain, bearing traces of a very long period of settlement and considered one of the major mounds of Southeastern Anatolia. Layers dating from the Late Chalcolithic period through later eras help explain the region’s position at the crossroads between the Euphrates Valley, Northern Syria and the Anatolian plateau. Some of the finds from the excavations can be seen at the Kilis Museum.
