Oylum Höyük

Oylum Höyük is an important archaeological site in the Kilis Plain, bearing traces of a very long settlement history and regarded as one of the major mounds in Southeastern Anatolia. Layers dating from the Late Chalcolithic period through later eras help explain the region’s position at the crossroads of the Euphrates Valley, Northern Syria and the Anatolian Plateau. Some of the artifacts unearthed during excavations can be seen at the Kilis Museum.
