Rumkale

Rumkale is an impressive historical and scenic site rising on a steep, rocky peninsula where the Euphrates River meets the Merzimen Stream. Integrating the natural rock formations with defensive walls, the castle has the character of a monumental settlement used during different periods. Today, boat trips from Halfeti and the surrounding shores are among the most impressive ways to view the castle from the water.
