Vazelon Monastery
Located on a steep rock near Kiremitli Village in Maçka, Vazelon Monastery is one of the region’s important monastic heritage sites, with a history dating back to the early periods and a dedication to John the Baptist. The surviving church and monks’ rooms mainly bear traces of the 19th century.
