Kral Kaya Mezarları

The Kral Kaya Mezarları are monumental tombs of the Pontus kings who used Amasya as their capital during the Hellenistic period, carved into steep limestone cliffs at the foot of Amasya Castle. Although numerous rock tombs are known along the Yeşilırmak Valley, five royal tombs in particular stand out among the surviving examples. Together with Amasya Castle, the tombs are on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List.
