Sebastopolis Ancient City

Sebastopolis, located in the center of Sulusaray district, is an ancient settlement that developed on a mound whose history extends back to the Early Bronze Age and gained particular importance during the Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine periods. Rescue excavations and surface finds show that the city was a thriving center on important routes during the Roman period.
