Niksar Castle
Niksar Castle is an extensive defensive site whose origins are linked to the Pontus period and which was reinforced and used for a long time during the Roman and Byzantine periods. The castle area, developed with inner, outer and intermediate lines of fortifications, contains traces of structures from different periods, including a bathhouse, prayer hall, madrasa, church and prison.
