Cizre Grand Mosque

Cizre Grand Mosque is one of the city’s most important examples of Islamic architecture, having survived to the present day through repairs and additions made in different periods. Known for its historic door leaves and dragon-motif door knockers, the mosque is also significant from an art-historical perspective, with surviving traces of stone and tile decoration. It can be visited along the same walking route as the Red Madrasa and the Tomb of Prophet Noah.
