Izmir Clock Tower

Located in Konak Square, Izmir Clock Tower was built in 1901 to mark the 25th anniversary of Sultan Abdülhamid II’s accession to the throne and has become the city’s best-known symbol. The 25-metre-high, four-storey, octagonal structure is a natural starting point for an itinerary through central Izmir, thanks to its fountains, stonework and strong connection with the square.
