Kadifekale

Kadifekale preserves traces of ancient Smyrna’s defensive system on a 186-metre-high hill overlooking the Gulf of Izmir. Sections of the walls and towers of the castle, associated with the era of Alexander the Great, have survived to the present day. Thanks to its location, it combines archaeological remains and a city panorama at the same stop.
