Bergama Acropolis

The Bergama Acropolis was the administrative, religious and cultural centre of the ancient city of Pergamon, situated on a high hill. Its urban layout, shaped by the terraced use of the terrain, forms an extraordinary example of Hellenistic urban planning, with temples, a theatre, palace areas and monumental structures. It is one of the key sites underpinning Bergama’s UNESCO World Heritage identity.
