Zerzevan Castle

Zerzevan Castle is a Roman-period frontier garrison and settlement established on a high hill along the Diyarbakır–Mardin route. Its walls and towers, military and civilian structures, underground spaces, and the remains of a temple associated with the Mithras cult enhance the site’s significance. Overlooking the broad plain, it also offers an impressive scenic experience alongside its archaeological remains.
