Four-Legged Minaret
The Four-Legged Minaret, the distinctive minaret of Sheikh Mutahhar Mosque resting on four stone columns, is one of Diyarbakır’s most unusual architectural landmarks. Perceived at street level, the structure forms a strong visual harmony with the narrow historic fabric of Suriçi. Together with the Great Mosque, Hasan Paşa Han, and the nearby churches and bazaars, it can easily be visited along a short walking route.
