Yazılıkaya Open-Air Temple
Yazılıkaya is one of the most impressive sacred sites of the Hittite world, set among high rocky outcrops just outside Hattusa. The rock reliefs in Chambers A and B depict Hittite gods and goddesses in a processional arrangement; for this reason, the site is highly significant not only archaeologically but also in terms of Hittite religion and iconography. Planning it as a natural continuation of a visit to Hattusa is the best approach.
