Priene Ancient City
Priene was established on terraces along the southern slope of Samsun Dağı and is one of the best-preserved examples in the history of ancient urban planning, with its orderly grid layout. The Temple of Athena, theatre, agora and residential fabric clearly demonstrate the city’s approach to planning.
