Yürüyen Köşk

Yürüyen Köşk is one of Turkey’s most distinctive Republican-era memorial sites, known for the story of the building moved approximately 4.8 metres on rails in 1930 so that the plane tree beside Atatürk would not be cut down. The small house museum presents environmental awareness and the history of modernization through a symbolic event.
