Onur Monument

The Onur Monument in Atatürk Park is one of Samsun’s city symbols. The bronze statue of Atatürk, created by Austrian sculptor Heinrich Krippel, was unveiled in a ceremony in 1932; the reliefs and inscriptions on its pedestal symbolize the process of the National Struggle that began in Samsun.
