Kızılırmak Delta Bird Paradise, around Bafra, is one of Türkiye’s leading nature observation areas, with wetlands, coastal ecosystems and numerous bird species. The area has protection statuses including natural conservation area, wildlife development area and Ramsar Site, and was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List in 2016.
