Kızılırmak Delta Bird Sanctuary
Kızılırmak Delta Bird Sanctuary, located around Bafra, is one of Türkiye’s leading nature observation areas, with wetlands, coastal ecosystems and numerous bird species. The area has protected status as a natural conservation site, a wildlife development area and a Ramsar Site, and was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List in 2016.
