Topkapı Palace
Topkapı Palace was commissioned by Sultan Mehmed II in the second half of the 15th century and served for centuries as the residence, administrative center and educational hub of the Ottoman dynasty. Located on Seraglio Point, its layout spreads across courtyards and includes sections such as the Harem, Imperial Council, Treasury and Sacred Relics. It is not a single building but an extensive palace complex and one of the essential stops for understanding Istanbul’s history.
