Hoşap Castle
Hoşap Castle is an impressive defensive structure built on a steep rock in Güzelsu, in the Gürpınar district, with inner and outer castle sections. Its surviving principal character dates from the period of the Mahmudi Beys, while the monumental entrance gate is the most striking part of the structure. Thanks to its location on the Van–Hakkâri highway, it can be combined with Çavuştepe on the same cultural route.
