Çavuştepe Castle
Çavuştepe Castle preserves the remains of the city of Sardurihinili, founded during the reign of the Urartian king Sarduri II. Its upper and lower fortress sections, temples, storage buildings, cisterns and finely constructed fortifications offer an opportunity to observe Urartian architecture on site. It is an important archaeological stop that can be combined in the same day with excursions heading toward Hoşap Castle.
