Located in Battalgazi, the Silahtar Mustafa Paşa Caravanserai is one of the major surviving architectural traces in Malatya of the Ottoman caravan routes, with its large courtyard and covered hall layout dating from 1637. It carries the architectural memory of the historical network in which commercial and military transport operated together into the present day.
