Bitlis Castle

Bitlis Castle rises on one of the steep rocky slopes in the city centre, creating a striking silhouette overlooking the historic texture of Bitlis. Although its interior may not always be accessible due to its fill structure and conservation conditions, the visible mass of its walls and panoramic setting remain an important part of the city’s identity. It can be included in a city walk together with the bazaars, madrasas and stone bridges.
