Amasya & Sinop Tour Programme

Day 1 Amasya

We arrive in Amasya, the City of Princes and Lovers, at around 07:30 in the morning. After a delicious village-style breakfast break (extra), our first stop is the Ferhat and Şirin Lovers’ Museum, which holds the title of Turkey’s first and only Lovers’ Museum (if open). We visit the Tomb of Ferhat and Şirin and the Ferhat and Şirin Water Canals. Following our visit here, we continue towards the Amasya King Rock Tombs (extra), built on Mount Harşena and offering a breathtaking view of Amasya below. After taking plenty of photos and videos, we head to the Sabuncuoğlu Şerefeddin Museum of Medicine and Surgery History, the only surviving work from the Ilkhanid Period. After exploring this unique museum, we visit the Bayezid II Complex, built as an expression of gratitude for being granted the Ottoman throne. We then visit the Miniature Amasya Museum to see Amasya as it was nearly a century ago, reconstructed at a scale of 1/150. After taking a short journey back in history, we visit the Amasya Yalıboyu Houses, which reflect the city’s distinctive architectural tradition. Once we complete our visits here, we have dinner and proceed to our accommodation hotel.

Day 2 Sinop

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at our hotel, we set off towards Sinop. Once we arrive in Sinop, our first stop is the Erfelek Tatlıca Waterfalls, consisting of 28 large and small waterfalls and unparalleled in the world for this feature. After exploring this wonderful natural site and taking plenty of photos and videos, our second stop is Hamsilos Bay. Following Hamsilos Bay, which relaxes visitors with its unique scenery and atmosphere, we head to Turkey’s northernmost point. At İnceburun, accompanied by one of Turkey’s oldest lighthouses, we take a break with the wind as our companion before continuing towards Sinop city center. Before reaching the center, we visit Sinop Historic Prison, which deeply affects visitors and evokes a flow of emotions when explored from within. After our visit, we say that it would not be right to leave Sinop without tasting its famous Sinop mantı (extra), and we give you free time. Those who wish may take a boat tour, while others can sip their tea accompanied by a wonderful sea view. After completing our visits here, we bring another Sinop adventure to an end and return to our beautiful city of Trabzon.
