Ferhat Water Canal
Dating from the Late Hellenistic–Early Roman period, the Ferhat Water Canal was built to meet the water needs of ancient Amasya by carving into the rock, opening tunnels and constructing a channel according to the terrain’s slope. Over time, the structure became associated with the legend of Ferhat and Şirin and has become one of the important symbols of the city’s cultural heritage.
