Ferhat Water Canal
Dating from the Late Hellenistic–Early Roman period, the Ferhat Water Canal was built to meet the water needs of ancient Amasya by carving into rock, opening tunnels, and creating a canal according to the terrain’s gradient. Over time, the structure became associated with the legend of Ferhat and Şirin and emerged as one of the important symbols of the city’s cultural memory.
