Divriği Great Mosque and Darüşşifası
The Great Mosque and Darüşşifa in Divriği is a unique architectural complex consisting of a mosque, hospital and tomb, built in the 13th century during the Mengücek Beylik period. Despite its relatively plain massing from the outside, its highly relief-carved stone decoration—particularly on the monumental portals—shows extraordinary variety. Because of its architectural integrity and stonework, the structure is regarded as one of Turkey’s most important medieval monuments.
