Kaçkar Mountains
The Kaçkar Mountains are a high mountain range extending between Artvin and Rize, and are among Turkey’s most important nature and mountaineering areas, with glaciers, mountain lakes, forests and highland plateaus. The Yusufeli–Yaylalar route is one of the principal starting points for summit hikes approaching from the south.
